ICDP were second place in this invited competition to design accommodation for the families of sick children at the Southern General Hospital in Glasgow. The design proposal sought to reduce scale of the home by creating a series of pitched gable roofs to give the impression of street of terraced houses as opposed to institutional building. The interior proposals would match the exterior design to create a warm, safe and welcoming environment for children and parents alike.
